welcome!

The Space Needle is a part of the fabric of Seattle. As a member of the Seattle community you can help us protect the spirit that is Seattle. We invite you to look at our ideas regarding the development of South Lake Union and we encourage you to let us know what you think. This website is intended to give you this opportunity and is an open window to our community.

space needle perspective:

Changes to development patterns in South Lake Union could severely impact the Space Needle.

The Needle attracts 1.3 million visitors a year and generates more than $250
million dollars per year in economic impact to our Seattle metropolitan region.

We support growth in our South Lake Union neighborhood that occurs in a way
that preserves the prominence of our city’s premier landmark.

Views both to and from the Space Needle should continue to be enjoyed from neighborhoods, local parks and Lake Union.

We are committed to being a positive part of the EIS process and will stay in
touch with our neighbors.

We are confident that the City of Seattle will do a thorough analysis of any
possible impacts to the Space Needle area as we look forward to working
with all of you.
